Opening Presentation The state of urban sustainability varies widely across the United States. There are some communities that have committed to sustainability holistically, and are recognized as global leaders. Other cities have identified best practices in particular areas, but have not created balanced strategies. Professor Lisa Benton-Short, will provide an overview of the progress U.S. cities have made around sustainability, and where there is room for growth.
